Type VII- U-Boat 3D model

The type VII Uboat, as shown by her name was a boat able to sail underwater for a short time, this was due to the weak power of electric engines, so the boat was more sea worthy in the surface, under the diesel engines power, the ability to submerge was of little aid once they were spotted. The model comes from true plans, but plans have changes trough time, the plans used here are the first approved set. Among other details, the Type VII had an external aft torpedo tube, a net cutter in the stern, and a cannon in front of the sail, that was later dismissed because of the danger for the crew.
