DESCRIPTION

A great quality rigged 3D model of some Tank tracks, or continuous tracks. (a system of vehicle propulsion used in tracked vehicles, running on a continuous band of treads or track plates driven by two or more wheels).

We've made the model/rig so it can be easily manipulated to suit your needs. You can move, or remove the circular discs / wheels / suspension, add your own 3D models into the correct layer, and the rig will still be 100% functional. You can also change the NURB's Curve path to alter the tracks path/shape, this means you can completely customise the model/rig to suit your needs.

We first created this model for an excavator rig that we used in a high-end 3D animation (you will soon be able to download the full excavator in our CGTrader Store). We have since used the rig on multiple other models, as well as on some machinary, by customising the tracks to conveyor belts.

The model is great to use in your games, films as CGI, VR, or animations. It's low poly but holds enough detail to place into a scene for a realistic CGI element.

Technical Specifications: File Formats: MB, MA, OBJ, FBX, STL, VRSCENEPlease note that the rig may not work outside of Maya, however these other file versions have been uploaded for anyone that just wants to model itself.

Other than Autodesk Maya, file types (OBJ, FBX, STL, VRSCENE) include only standard materials without advanced shaders or materials. If you would like to use the textures outside of Vray renderer, we have also uploaded .tif versions of the texture maps.
