ISS Deorbit Vehicle

ISS Deorbit Vehicle 3D model

Description

The ISS Deorbit Vehicle is a planned custom-built spacecraft designed to deorbit the International Space Station at the end of its life, around 2030. It will be a modified variant of SpaceX's Dragon 2 Cargo. The capsule is largely unchanged, but the Trunk section has been replaced with a large service module that provides the delta-v for the deorbit maneuvers as well as power and attitude control during the station's final weeks. The total mass of the Deorbit Vehicle is 30 tons
