Description

The Dragon is a partially reusable spacecraft developed by SpaceX, an American private space transportation company based in Hawthorne, California. During its uncrewed maiden flight in December 2010, Dragon became the first commercially built and operated spacecraft to be recovered successfully from orbit. On 25 May 2012, an uncrewed variant of Dragon became the first commercial spacecraft to successfully rendezvous with the International Space Station.

Model Data

This model was built using nearly twenty photo references as guides, and was built to scale.

These models have been pre-subdivided, and is not intended for further subdivision.

This model comes in a few parts, and the mapping is associated with those parts, capsule, trunk, and solar array.

Mapping

This model uses three 8k maps, capsule, solar panels, and trunk. A generic aluminum material should be used for the heat shield.

Animation

This capsule is animated for use with 3ds Max. The other file are not animated.
