Cerberus class robotic fighter
The Cerberus is a small AI driven robotic fighter, capable to perform escort, strike and intercept missions independently. Armed with two lasers, two railguns and a dual, detachable missile launcher rack; this little and agile fighter is a formidable foe if you encounter it in a space battle. Originally designed as a companion for the Hades/Titan class cruisers, but can be used independently.
Original design by me, never used in any commercial projects. The model is realscale, 5.307 wide x 3.453 high x 8.529m long. Because the relatively small polygon count it can be massively instanced, forming a large swarm of them. It can also be simplified to go below 5-10k polygons for game use.
Technical note: Model was developed in Lightwave 3D 11.5 and coverted to other formats with Deep Exploration 5.5. The native LWO/LWS version uses simple, layered planar maps and procedurals. If you are using the LWO/LWS version, you won't need any afterwork; it is render-ready. Converted versions might need some work to rebuild the original textures. Changing base color is easily done by simply swapping color maps (about a dozen other simple colors are shipped, using a camo is also supported).
