Ciliated Epithelium is a 3d model of type of tissue composed of specialized cells called ciliated cells.
These cells have hair-like structures called cilia on their surface, which are capable of rhythmic, coordinated beating movements. Cilia are microtubule-based structures that extend from the cell membrane and play various roles in the body. Ciliated epithelium is commonly found in the respiratory tract, where the cilia help to move mucus and trapped particles away from the lungs towards the throat, where they can be expelled. This mechanism helps to protect the respiratory system from infections and maintain its cleanliness.
