St. Joan of Arc, byname French Sainte Jeanne d’Arc or La Pucelle d’Orléans, (1412-1431), national heroine of France, a peasant girl who, believing that she was acting under divine guidance, led the French army in a momentous victory at Orléans that repulsed an English attempt to conquer France during the Hundred Years’ War.

This equestrian statue is located in Paris, place des Pyramides and was made by Emmanuel Frémiet (1824 –1910) french sculptor. Multiple copies are located across the world, most in France but also three in the USA and one in Australia.
