A little about the developed product (The carrier is a nuclear submarine)

R-29R (URAV Navy index [note 1] - 3M40, START code - RSM-50, US Defense and NATO code - SS-N-18, Stingray) is a Soviet liquid-propellant two-stage ballistic missile for arming submarines. As part of the D-9R missile system, it is deployed on Project 667BDR Kalmar submarines. Developed at the Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering (now the Makeev State Regional Center). Introduced into service in 1977. There are three options for missile combat equipment: a monoblock with a charge of 450 kt, a multiple warhead (MIRV) with three warheads with an explosion energy of 200 kt each and a seven-unit MIRV with 100 kt units each [approx. 2]. On the basis of the R-29R rocket, the Volna carrier rocket was created.
