DESCRIPTION

This is the American 40mm M918, a Target-Practice , machine grenade launcher fired, hight-velocity,
projected grenade using the M550 escapement mechanism fuze,
used to simulate the M430 HEDP 40-mm cartridge during practice firing.
The fuze is a setback and centrifugally armed and Point-Detonating .
The grenade produces an audible report, a small flash and a smoke cloud on impact.
The cartridge case is anodized green. The grenade is blue with a 6mm (0.25in)
brown band to the rear of the ogive, with markings being stencilled in black. An annular groove is machined
in the ogive to identify the cartridge as a TP round, also, the letters TP are stamped three
places equally spaced on the base of the grenade.
The Ukrainian military industry mastered the production of this type of grenade (40mm)
in 2018 for use in the Ukrainian machine grenade launcher - UAG-40 (UAG-40)

Dimensions of the assembled model 112(max)x40(42max) mm. - original size.
The model is made in SolidWorks. It is intended primarily for 3D printing stand model - training model,
for use as a visual aid and is not a complete copy of the external forms of the original product.
Although it does display all the basic external elements. The model is adapted for the possibility of
3D printing and subsequent assembly of the product layout.
The model is assembled, contains files
of all conditional parts (STL) in high-polygonal version to obtain qualitatively smooth forms. Additionally,
the set contains all files for obtaining high-quality realistic visualization with close-ups (smooth lines,
selected surfaces for applying materials or textures), texture file are texture inscriptions (markings)
for applied to surfaces.(see rendering examples).
In addition to solid model file formats, converted high detail polygonal file formats are additionally provided.
Mesh:
Vertices 346673
Faces 693338

No unsupported objects
Unsupported objects:
- Lights
- Cameras
Learn more
Geometry
No N-gons
N-gons are polygons with five or more sides which might cause issues in certain processes like rendering or animation. Learn more
No faceted geometry
Faceted geometry uses flat surfaces without smoothing, which can look unrealistic on curves.
Learn more
Manifold geometry
Manifold geometry ensures all surfaces are properly connected, avoiding issues like edges shared by more than two faces.
Learn more
Textures & material
PBR textures
PBR textures simulate how light interacts with materials, making the model look realistic under different lighting.
Required PBR textures:
- Base Color
- Roughness
- Metalness
- Normal
Learn more
No embed textures
Embedded textures are stored inside the model file, increasing its size and sometimes causing compatibility issues.
Learn more
Square textures
Texture aspect ratio is the width-to-height ratio of a texture. Expected texture aspect ratio: 1:1
Learn more
Power of 2 texture sizes
Textures with dimensions in power of two (e.g. 512x512px, 1024x1024px) are used to optimize performance and memory usage.
Learn more
Assigned materials
Materials are applied to the 3D model to allow visualize a model's surface properties and appearance.
Learn more
UVs & naming
No UV overlaps
UVs overlap when multiple points on the 3D model's surface are mapped to the same point on the UV island causing texture stretching.
Learn more
UV unwrapped model
A UV unwrapped model means its 3D surface is flattened into 2D space, allowing textures to be applied accurately.
