D&R Sockets and Toggle, Rocker and Dimmer Switches
Introduction
This collection of sockets and switches is designed to help bring those all important finishing touches to your renders. Be it an architectural visualisation of a luxury apartment,
an interior for an art project or any other scene, these details can make all the difference.
They come in 3 brushed metal and 2 non metal finishes, which can be mixed and matched to create the look you desire.
Switches
This range of light switches come in Toggle, Rocker and Dimmer varieties.
The faceplates and switches are coloured seperately. There are 5 colours available – black, white and brushed metal in Gold, Silver and Copper. You can mix and match any combiniation of these colours. So there are 25 combinations to choose from. (Some, but not all of these can be seen in the pictures provided on the website.)
All the switches are available in single, double, triple and quadruple switches per faceplate.
Sockets
The sockets have faceplates available in the same 5 materials.
As the trim of the sockets themselves shoud not be metal, the trim is available in black and white only, giving 10 material combinations.
The Sockets come in single and double versions. The UK sockets are avilable with and without switches.
HIGH POLY Versions
I have also included the High Poly versions of the Dimmer Switches in a separate .obj or .fbx file.
These have a far larger poly count than the Low Poly versions. For example the High Poly Quad Dimmer model has 71,066 vertices compared to the Low Poly's 3,802. These High Poly versions use a lot more memory and will reduce the performance in your 3D software package. However if wish to have the extra detail and you have sufficient computer power, the High Poly is available. These High Poly models require their own normal maps, which are also included in the same folders you'll find all the other texture maps.
There is only one blend file however, with the High Poly versions included, although they are in a separate collection.
The Low Poly versions will be sufficient for most purposes unless you are looking for a very close up shot.
