Product Info

The models were created in Blender 2.82 and the renders were done using Cycles.

The models are separated into 5 objects - Jar, Wax, Wicks, Burned Wicks and Flames.

Textures are PBR with Colour, Roughness, Specular, Transmission and Transmission Roughness Maps for the Candle and Wicks.Emission and Alpha Maps for the Flames.Colour, Roughness, Specular, Subsurface Amount, Subsurface Colour and Subsurface Radius Maps for the Wax material. Up to 4k where necessary.

Although Maps are provided for the Sub Surface Scattering and Emission of the materials, I do not know how the SSS might translate to other software and the Emission of the flame material goes up to a value of 4.8, which cannot be translated to a UV Map, which only go from 0 to 1, so the Material Settings for the Flame and Wax materials can be found at the end of this document.

The product is available as .obj and .fbx files and as a Blend file.

The .obj and .fbx do not include the table top, lights or cameras. See below for Blender File information.

Object Info

The Candles have been UV unwrapped with non-overlapping islands on the jars and wax, but overlapping the Wicks.

The origins are in the centre of the base of each object.

One complete candle contains – 3,641 verts and 3,755 polygons

Blender File

The Blend file includes the candles, tabletop, background, lights and camera. The procedural materials are applied for the wax and flames, but texture mapped materials for the main candle and wicks. You will find all 6 candles have both new wicks and burned wicks and flames as children with the new wicks just hidden, hide/unhide/delete as you wish.
