Hey all!
After the incredible look of Esther 6's 5 branch candelabra, I did this one for a tutorial on candle flames for Blender Render. It's a much more traditional and 1600's European kinda vibe! Around this time, I was doing a lot of experimenting with different techniques for anime-style fire, and a rigged candle-flame as a logical next step and this was just a perfect tool for the job! Tutorial also linked!
Included:
-
Three candelabras:
1) Subdivided
2) Creased for subdivision
3) Lower poly version
- Three animated candle flames, controlled with displacement (keeps each flame different and moving at the same speed)
- IK control for each flame, so you can animate a drag easily.
- Table (procedural texture) and wall for decoration
- All materials are Principled BSDF based, to make it as easy as possible to add it to your particular project/style
Candle run-off is added in a simple way to make it easily removable, yet still blend nicely with SSS, so that if you want to customize this for a more intense candle look.
ALL materials Cycles compatible.
Static version of the subdivided and unsubdivided model available in other formats.FBX contains the rig with baked in static displacement - other formats are a courtesy - Blender's exporters have varied success.
This is perfect for scene decor for both period pieces, classical architecture or just adding a little chrome to a modern design!
You will love it and it's at a great price-point! Also, if you're interested in candelabras, also check out my other model:https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/household/other/weighted-candelabra-with-5-candles
I just know this will make your project pop for all the right reasons!
