Settings and Manufacturing Instructions

For CNC Wood Carving

Recommended workflow:

Import the STL file into ArtCAM, Aspire, VCarve, Carveco, Fusion 360, or any compatible CAM software.Scale the model according to your required decorative size.Set the material dimensions and place the model correctly on the work area.Set the zero point from the top of the material.Create a roughing toolpath first to remove excess material.Create a finishing toolpath to reveal the animal head handle, curved blade form, and smooth surface details.For roughing, use a flat end mill bit.For finishing, use a ball nose bit.Recommended finishing bit size: 1 mm to 3 mm ball nose.Use a small stepover to achieve a smooth surface and preserve the sculpted details.Sand the carved model carefully after machining.Keep all edges rounded and blunt for decorative display use.Apply wood stain, varnish, oil, paint, metallic finish, antique finish, or clear coat as desired.
