The Copo Americano is a 190 ml (6.7 imp fl oz; 6.4 US fl oz) capacity model of drinking cup developed by the São Paulo based Nadir Figueiredo company in 1947. It is the most common item of glassware in Brazil, with over 6 billion units having been produced since its creation. It is used throughout casual restaurants and bars in the country, and also considered as a standard unit of measure for Brazilian recipes.
