Doctor Who Robots 3D Model Collection

Description

Expand your Doctor Who 1:6 Scale collection with these classic character model kits.

New Series Dalek

Undertake this kit project to create the most feared species in the universe to accompany your 1:6 scale Doctor Who figures.

Accurately recreated at 1:6 scale using the real prop dimensions, you will find here nearly eveything you need to make your own miniature model.

Included are also templates to help you position the hemispheres on the skirt section alongside a drawing to assit with aluminium tube lengths.

To complete this model, you will need some aluminium tube of the follwoing sizes:

5 mm OD x 4.1 mm ID 4 mm OD x 3.1 mm ID

As well as a 3mm blue LED for the eye regardless of whether you intend to light it or not.

As for printing the model, I would recommend that the Eye, Plunger, Gun and Ears are Polyjet, SLA or SLS printed due to the incredibly fine detail. A well tuned FDM printer should have no trouble with everything else (unless you scale down).

Every part is supplied as a separate file, included 2 files for the 'Shoulders'; one whole and one split.

Paradigm Dalek

I have painstakingly recreated and accurate scale model of the Paradigm Daleks who first appeared in 'Victory of the Daleks' back in 2010.

The model will tower at nearly 30cm tall and features poseable plunger/ gun arms.

In order to complete this model you will need to purchase some short lengths of small aluminium tubes in the following diameters:

5 mm OD x 4.1 mm ID 4 mm OD x 3.1 mm ID

For the hemispheres on the skirts, you will need to order 60x 20mm Flat Back Half Round Resin Pearls which can be purchased online from craft shops. Alternately I have provided an STL file for these, however do bare in mind the time it will take to sand and finish printed versions.

Included in the files are some pictures of the 'Eye stalk', 'Plunger arm' and 'Gun Arm' in order to assist with tube lengths and the spacing of components.

I have successfully printed every part of this model on a FDM (Filament) printer. No parts should require support.

Every part is supplied as a separate file.

K9 MkI & MkIII

I was able to take measurements from the actual prop in order to make this as accurate as the real thing!

The model itself is 180mm from nose to tail at preciesly 1:6 scale.

The files even include interchangable 'nose laser' for an extended or retracted look.

Interchangable 'eye probe' which again can be posed in the extended or retracted position.

I was even able to talk with the prop master for the show in 2006 who shared with me detailed pictures of the inner workings of K9. As such, also included is a very detailed and accurate insert of the inside of K9 which can be seen after removing the side panel.

The removable side panel intself is designed to house 1x2mm magnets on the four corners which will hold it in place. However, these are not essential as the panel is a snug fit.

Please Note You will have to make your own fabric or paper collar and source a small jewellry chain.

As for printing the model, I would reccoment that the ears, tail, probes and back control panel are Polyjet or SLA printed due to the incredibly fine detail.

A well tuned FDM printer should have no trouble with everything else (unless you scale down).

When I assembled my own, the entire thing was polyjet printed which allowed me to capture all the miniscule details like screw heads and seamlines that a filiment printer would otherwise miss.

Every part is supplied as a seperate file, included 2 files for the body, one whole and one split.
