In a deft interplay of materials, the Professor Desk combines lacquered steel frame with a wood veneer top, a characteristic which would go on to define much of Kjærholm's work.Designed for the Academy of Fine Arts in 1955, where Kjærholm had recently become a lecturer, the desk's formal simplicity translates effortlessly into contemporary spaces. Available on a black or grey steel lacquered frame, the top can be made in oak veneer with a choice of wood finishes.Whether ordered with or without a drawer, the Carl Hansen Professor Desk is a welcome addition to varied environments, from the hotel room to the home office or even public working space.
