Description

I present to you a lovely Chesterfield couch with six (6) versions of textures:

  1. Leather, new, burgundy
  2. Leather, worn, dark brown
  3. Fabric with Cashmere pillows
  4. Royal (white and Schönbrunn yellow)
  5. Imperial (pure white and golden pillows)
  6. Diner (red vinyl and leatherette pillows)

Each texture set comes in 3 resolutions for your specific needs (4K, 2K, 1K) and looks great even at 1K resolution. The textures were created in Substance Painter, and contain the following maps in PNG format:

  • Base_Color
  • Ambient_Occlusion
  • Height
  • Metallic
  • Normal
  • Normal_DirectX
  • Roughness

The couches are made of 54362 faces including the two pillows, or 43274 faces if you remove the pillows. The geometry is beautiful, with no lamina faces or bad normals, or any other errors. It's mostly quads with some tris hidden, which were needed to complete the edges of the diagonally modelled backrest, or to reduce the edge loops underneath the frame. All edges are smoothed carefully, with selected edges creased to provide good AO results. Included are two .FBX versions of the couch (one with and one without pillows), same for OBJ version, and also the original Maya (2020) file (.ma) which contains all six couches next to each other, with Arnold materials assigned and all maps applied (using the 4K resolution). The FBX couches are a single object, but the Maya scene has each couch separated into its components (pillows, cushions, legs, frame, etc...) for easy selection. You can mix and match, or modify any material to your liking. Simple color changes can be done in Photoshop, and to add complex textures, you could use software such as Substance Painter. The UVs of the entire couch, including pillows, are packed into a single 0-1 UV space, with no overlapping UVs.

I put a lot of love into modelling this couch, and I did it as well as I could. There are no errors of any kind and the geometry is flawless, in my opinion. If you find any issues, or if you wish to commission a custom skin, please don't hesitate to contact me. I hope you will enjoy this model.
