DESCRIPTION

This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 13 and then converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 This kit house dates from 1883. The kit sold for $4000. I don't know what that is in today's dollars. It was built on the East River. Originally the kitchen was in the basement with a dumbwaiter to the dining room above via stacked pantries. Updates include: the cellar, which had the heating boiler, has been turned into a garage, the original diningroom has been converted into a kitchen with a breakfast area, the library is the new dining room, and the old kitchen in the basement is a flex room. Upstairs, the small bedroom at the front of the hall is now the master bedroom bath. A new closet is in bedroom 3, the lower attic bedroom. The rest of the house is pretty much the same. The upper attic is used for storage, originally the servants quarters. An old back porch was converted into a laundry and the pantry into a bathroom. The original stone foundation remains with a new block foundation under the old porch. This house may be still in existance. The plans include a complete materials list. Minus foundation and paint. It is from a Victorian house design book dated 1884. Use the view/play to walk thru the house. I just updated it a little bit. Thanks, Paul for the trick with the pocket doors. Use the layers to turn them off or on. Bob Historical update: Look up High-Victorian House for a Bay of East River 1883 on web search for the original elevation and floor plans. Haven't found the actual house yet.
