this 3d model is a traditional Malay house located in Terengganu,Malaysia, this house is known as Rumah Bumbung Panjang because of its roof. the roof is a gable roof sloping down with different degree angle creating a unique style and identity of malay houses. every malay houses will start built in a grid form. starting with 6 poles or tiang 6 to 12 poles ,tiang 12 and when the family is getting bigger the house will expand and can be up to 24 poles or tiang 24 .the roof is the most significant element for this house especially the tebar layar and the roof tile. it is usually built for middle class family and can be seen across the Malaysia peninsular. the structure is fully using a solid wood specifically the Cengal timber while the other parts use meranti timber. the 3d model was made and create in sketchup and rendered using enscape version 3.1. the outcome may vary depends on the software you are using. it is scaled 1:1 following the real dimension.
