Reykjavik is the capital and largest city of the island nation of Iceland. In the city, it is worth visiting the National Museum and the Saga Museum, the exposition of which is dedicated to the history of the country's settlement by the Vikings. The impressive concrete-built Hallgrimskirkja Church and the revolving glass dome of the Perlan building offer views of the sea and the surrounding hills. A vivid confirmation of the volcanic activity of the island is the geothermal mineral lake Blue Lagoon, which lies near the village of Grindavik.
