This 35mm film holder was specifically made for using Fujifilm GW690 and GSW690 with a panoramic kit. If you are using the same 35mm adapter I am, you need to have two 35mm film cassettes connected together. One holding the unexposed film and the other cassette acts as the take up cassette of the exposed film. This holder is made to have the two cassettes reversed in the holder and no divider between the two cassettes. This way you can have it all set up before you need it in the field. My wife has suggested that a rubber band might work as well. I begrudgingly agreed but I wouldn’t want two unprotected film canisters bouncing around in my film bag and additionally I would have nothing to print in my 3d printer, but a rubber band isn't a bad idea. :)

The S and R on the outside of the holder stand for Supply and Receptacle. The one side is for cassette that has the film and other side is for the cassette that will be receiving the film. It’s easy to confuse which cassette is which so I thought the letters might help. I would also suggest writing it directly on the film cassettes as well.

The hinge rod is slightly over-sized so it will need a small amount of sanding to get it to slide through the two holes in the holder. Once it's set in the holes properly and you sand down or snip off the section of the hinge rod that is outside the hole I would suggest putting a small amount of super glue (cyanoacrylate glue) where the hinge rod and the hole meet (see image).

I've run into the problem of the receiving cassette twisting 90° with the cranking of the film and then it becomes very difficult to crank the film. So I created a covering that goes on top of the receiving cassette (see illustration-Image-demo) to prevent the rotating of the cassette. I suggest putting a small rectangle of double-sided adhesive foam tape (very thin) between the cowling and the cassette, preferably on the flat section. In my experience this will keep the cassette from rotating. I picked some up at Michaels.
