Scout troopers are characters from the Star Wars universe. They are soldiers of the Galactic Empire, they were elite units basically dedicated to the exploration and reconnaissance of terrain and planets, their special training made them completely different from that of any other imperial soldier: their training was not as military as that of the other soldiers were more technical and supportive, although they also received instructions on handling weapons, especially sniper rifles that became their weapon of choice.
