DESCRIPTION

3D Model of Caine from The Amazing Digital Circus

High quality lowpoly model ready for amazing animations and renders

The model, textures and rig were made with great attention to detail to replicate him as faithfully to the original as possible and to greatly optimize him. I made his rig as intuitive as possible to make it easier to use and animate.

I uploaded two versions of the model, one for the version 2.92 of Blender, and another for the version 4.4.

  • NOTES AND RECOMENDATIONS

All the addons that were used are free and you may find their links and credits in a text file in the RAR archive where the model and textures are.

The gums, tongue and eyelids have baked normal textures, however, in some of them the procedural material is connected instead of the images because I experienced a better optimization that way, but if you want the images to be connected, their nodes are inside the material but aren't connected, so all you need to do is connect them.

I added him eyelids inspired by Kinger's. The irises and pupils can be scaled as you want. To make Jeffery (the eye with arms and legs) you must take his limbs out from the eye rig, and the hat is activated from the extra stuff menu. In this menu you can find an option named Eye Lattices which activates controllers in the rig for a lattice that allows you to change the eye's shape as you want while being able to rotate it as it would normally be, (Shown in the second image where he has the tongue out, his eyes were scaled in the Z axis and I could still rotate it as a normal eye). If you copy the 4.4 model to another file and the cornea isn't transparent, activate Raytracing

The model itself and without subdivisions has 17022 polygons, the extra elements such as the eyelids and tongue make it have 19622

The switch at the top actives all the extra stuff, such as the squash and stretch controllers, Jeffery's hat, the eyelids, tongue, etc.

The lower switch changes the type of rig (IK or FK), and the switch at the bottom actives a snap from IK to FK. The animation must be baked for this working properly. In the version 4.4, there´s an addon that makes the snapping more effective.

I added squash and stretch controllers to the arms, legs, head and the complete body.

Enjoy using it!! Now it's your turn to bring him to life.

Give me the credits of this if you're going to use him for public stuff, thanks!
