Katsuki Bakugo, also known as Kacchan by his childhood friends, and as the Bombshell Hero: Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight is the deuteragonist of My Hero Academia. He was a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero.

Eight years after the Final War, Katsuki has graduated from U.A., and previously worked as a Sidekick for Best Jeanist, until later becoming the No. 5 (previously No. 4 and No. 15) Pro Hero with an insatiable appetite for crushing his foes.

Eight years after the end of the Final War, Katsuki has grown taller, more muscular, and leaner. His hero costume still retains the same design as he wore from U.A., even switching to a sleeveless look sometimes, but with the orange X design going over his shoulders and ending at the middle of his back with a Y design, the two black dots along the left side of the collar being removed, the green straps on his pants now orange, and his Grenadier Bracers have been redesigned to be more streamlined, giving them the shape of smoke grenades instead of the usual grenade design. In addition, he wears two red braids at the back of his head, designed to look like lit fuses. His occasionally still wears his black mask, but the protruding large, orange-rimmed flare shapes were removed in favor of the braids.
