Long DescriptionI’m excited to share my massive, story-rich city scene built from scratch in Blender 3D!Using real-world topology data as a base, I laid out an arterial road network with sidewalks, traffic markings, street lamps and green belts to capture the vibe of a living metropolis. Trees were scattered with Botaniq, Grove and Scatter packs, each randomized in scale and rotation for natural diversity. Buildings were assembled from modular kit-bash sets (walls, windows, roofs, balconies) giving endless variation while keeping memory usage low. Night shots use volumetric street lights, neon signs and car headlights; day shots blend Physical Starlight & HDRI sky with Physical Atmosphere for warm golden-hour lighting.The entire scene renders in 4K via Cycles-X, finishes in 3 min 24 sec on a 12 GB VRAM card despite 8 million faces (subdivision + instancing). All materials are PBR, 2K–4K resolution and uniquely UV-mapped. The city is divided into four districts—CBD, residential, industrial and waterfront—each with its own color palette and architectural style.I optimized the project through hand poly-modeling plus procedural details (cracks, curb stones, cables) via Geometry Nodes; the final .blend weighs only 1.9 GB. Three camera paths (drone, car interior, pedestrian POV) produce a smooth 60 FPS, 30-second promo clip.Perfect for indie filmmakers, game cinematics, arch-viz walk-throughs or looping gallery art.
