This project is a recreation of one of the iconic Nordpark stations in Innsbruck, Austria, by architect Zaha Hadid back in 2004-2007. Those stations were meant to connect the center of the city to the high altitude Nordkette Mountain (288 meters higher). This model only tackles one of the station in very much detail, just before crossing the river. It came from the challenge of modeling a Zaha Hadid medium-scale realization.
Double curved glass on top of concrete plinths forms what seems like an artificial landscape, with an overall shape reminiscent of the mountains surrounding the area and the erosion of ice.The arching canopy above the station apperas to be floating in space, with night lighting carefully designed under it.Model geometry includes : the whole station, some of the metro line hovering over the river, the close urban environment for context.
Native 3D format : 3dsmax. Objects, materials, layers are named to optimize the model organization.Exported versions include fbx and obj. A texture package is also there, on most of the geometry has been applied a simple uvw box for texture.
Last renders are from a Unreal Engine scene that uses the 3D model. That scene is not in the package but gives an example on how the geometry could look inside something like UE5. (When added foliage, lights and dynamic weather)
