DESCRIPTION

Manta rays (Mobula), also known as devil fish and carpet rays. Belonging to the class Chondrichthyes and the family Manta, it includes two genera, the genus Anteoral Manta and the genus Manta. The body is rhombic, with a width of over 6m. The body is cyan brown. A broad mouth. Right side position, able to look sideways and overhead. On the cephalic side, there is a pair of differentiated pectoral fins protruding forward. The dorsal fin is small and the pectoral fin is winglike. The tail is as long as a whip, with tail spines. Usually, they live on the bottom, but sometimes they swim on the surface and make long-distance migrations. They act quickly. It feeds on floating crustaceans and small fish. Eggs are viviparous. It is distributed in various tropical and temperate sea areas, and is found in the East China Sea, the South China Sea, and the coast of Taiwan in China.
