Fokker DR-1 Triplane Udet

Fokker DR-1 Triplane Udet 3D model

Description

This Dreamscape Studios 3D model is a high poly model with lots of details. The model includes a very detail rotary engine and propeller, guns, and cockpit.
It is built very near to scale and fully textured. The materials and textures for this model are all included. The model also has animateable features including the ailerons, rudder, elevators, and wheels. The rotary engine and propeller are animated as they operated spinning. The model is provided in several formats for your immediate downloading when purchased.
Liveries of famous triplanes are also options.

The Fokker DR-1 (Dreidecker ) Triplane was designed as a fighter in response to the success of the Sopwith triplane fighter that began service in early 1917. The Fokker Triplane was slower than most allied fighters of its day. Early wing failures also required modification. Other deficiencies were also found and either dealt with or not as Germany by this time was struggling to maintain their war effort. I might note here, I saw a 1918 Fokker triplane (real one) for sale in 2007 for $15000 needing restoration.
