An excellent model. Integrates easily into Unity and looks great. Easy to work with in 3DS Max and Blender. Excellent attention to detail. -- the geometry is clean and smooth -- the aircraft components have been thoughtfully separated to make animation of key systems such as a flight control surfaces, cockpit, landing gear, and bomb bay doors easy. -- excellent texturing which includes multiple texture options for different paint schemes -- includes in-cockpit instrument and radio panels enabling use in first-person flying sims or games The creator responded quickly to questions and went out of his way to make sure I had a good experience with the model to include providing layered PSD files. Curtis SB2C Helldiver models are not common even though they were the most-produced US dive bomber in World War II. Intended to replace the Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bombers of Coral Sea and Midway fame, they went through troubled development and the early models that first entered combat in November 1943 in USN carrier raids on the Japanese island fortress of Rabaul suffered from significant shortcomings and in many respects compared unfavorably to the Dauntless' they were supposed to replaced. Many of these problems were corrected by the time the SB2C-4 version modelled here entered service in mid-1944. A superb model.
