DESCRIPTION

This is an unmanned helicopter concept that I created in 2011. The idea was simple, a helicopter that resembled the Piesecki Sikorsky X-49 Speedhawk in a more modern look that has the ability to intimidate just by it's looks. Therefore, born is the Sharkeye X, taken after a sharks body with all the components you would outfit for an actual unmanned aircraft. Although this is not a 3D printable model, with minimal effort it could be ready for a printed prototype.

In this helicopter you will also get my fully detailed exterior model of a 50 cc gas engine, servos, ball links, 4 hub rotor head and rotor blades modelled similarly after Eurocopter's Blue Edge Blade. Originally I designed the aircraft in tris, this aircraft is now almost completely comprised of quads with great attention to detail in all the components and hierarchy. The model is natively designed in Cinema 4D with my own blend of antistrophic materials and textures. Additionally, C4D has a bend deformer set in place for the rotor blades for that perfect animation for flight or ground static modelling. Other programs the rotor was created as a mesh in a static ground droop, straight, and flexed for flight (just pick which one you want and delete the others). For other programs to insure optimal quality of the model and output on rendering textures were created for large subcomponents and model output will appear same as in the renders.

This aircraft/model has been featured as a marketing tool for some very reputable military application organizations. Now with a cleaned up fuselage and a touch of subdivision already applied to most of the components, you can show off the beauty that lurks in the air with this as my favorite all time original design. There is a great amount of work and effort put in to make this model a work of art.

NOTE: This model is native to Cinema 4D, all renders were created using C4D R15 and may not reflect other programs in terms of materials.

If this model meets or exceeds your expectations please comment and like. Happy Modelling!
