DESCRIPTION

This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 8 and then converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 Thanks to WilliamT and everyone else who participated. This livery was the second livery of the airline, used on the -500, -600, and 742 when they were received. While the 707s served with the old, original livery, the new planes in the modern for the time livery were flying around. [Callsign: PatriotSquared; IATA: SP; ICAO: AAA] AirAmerica {NASDAQ: AAAL} is the only American government-owned airline and is the nation’s flag carrier and main domestic airline. The airline operates flights to more than 800 destinations from Philadelphia International Airport and operates a fleet of 400 Boeing 787-9 and 500 Boeing 787-10. Previously, the company has owned over 100 Boeing 737-600 and 200 Boeing 747-200, before getting a multibillion grant from the US Department of Air Transportation to purchase more aircraft and replace its aging fleet.

The airline was formed in 1959 at the dawn of jet air travel, and started out with 6 Boeing 707-320, operating from Philadelphia to New York, Chicago, St. Louis, Miami, Atlanta, and Minneapolis. In 1973, the airline was about to go bankrupt, when the government purchased the airline to save it from bankruptcy. The current owner was fired, and the government appointed the head of the US Department of Air Transportation at the time. The process has repeated itself until the right manager was found in 1999, when the airline began rapidly booming with air travel, after selling off the 707 fleet and replacing it with modern, at the time, Boeing 737-500, and the addition of several extremely profitable routes. In 2001, the airline has purchased over 50 Boeing 737-600 to replace their -500, and began rapidly purchasing 747-200 for long distance cross-continental and trans-atlantic routes. In 2003 the airline operated more than 300 aircraft and 299 routes. In 2013 the airline has ordered 400 Boeing 787-9 and 500 Boeing 787-10. Both variants were delivered in 2015 and 2017 consecutively. In 2018 and 2019, both orders were finalized 100%25.

The management is intended to seem fiercely patriotic and conservative. All routes are promoted with the hashtag %232ForThePeopleByThePeople , since the company is technically funded by taxpayers. In 2016, the airline has petioned to join Star Alliance. The bid was extremely speculative because of the company’s size and government backing. Despite all speculation, Star Alliance accepted the bid, and on January 1st, 2017th, the airline became an official member and all its customers could get access to Star Alliance features.

Notable:On July 3rd, 2011th, a Boeing 747-200 enroute from Philadelphia to Moscow, lost contact with ATC and has disappeared from the radars. The wreckage was found in the coastal town of Akureyri in Iceland: a fanblade was caught by a fisherman, who later discovered the rest of the fan from the RR RB211. The rest of the wreckage was found not too far off from the bay. Cause of crash is undetermined as of April 10th, 2020.

On December 10th, 2007th, on approach to Bismarck, a Boeing 737-600 experienced a landing gear failure and was forced to perform a belly lending. The pilot touched the ground at a rate of speed unacceptable by the aircraft’s structural integrity, which has led to rapid unplanned disassembly and the death of all passengers and crew.
