These hiking boots are the very first product rendered using my brand-new Arnold-based master scene—a setup I’ve built from the ground up to give all my future renders a more unified, high-quality look. It’s something I’ve been planning for a while, and I’m really excited to finally start rolling it out.
This one’s a bit special—I spent a lot of time in Substance Painter getting the materials to feel as real and grounded as possible, and picked up a bunch of new tricks along the way. From the stitching to the scuffed-up leather, I really tried to make every detail count. Super happy with how it turned out.
As I go forward, I’ll be adding different baseplates tailored to specific product types—whether it’s outdoor gear like this, sci-fi props, or scanned assets. The goal is to bring a more consistent and immersive presentation style to all my work here on CGTrader.
