Chain Sprocket Animation

Chain Sprocket Animation Free 3D model

Description

A little more fun with chain and sprockets. Modeled in Solidworks and rendered with Bunkspeed Shot. The animation was done brute force, like stop motion animation or claymation.

1. Position geometry. 2. Export .obj. 3. Import .obj to render program. 4. Render frame. 5. Repeat steps 1-4 for every frame. 6. Assemble frames into short animation.

I found it’s much easier to animate gears than chains and sprockets.

I borrowed the Pillow Block bearing from Ahmad Hamdy. Pillow block bearing

I'm uploading my original Solidworks 2013 files as well as STEP, Binary Parasolid, STL, OBJ & 3D PDF.

I also uploaded a much larger animation file (1500x1000) for downloading, big.mov

Thank you all for having a look....
