DESCRIPTION

This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 6 and then converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 The new church is a protestant church in the city of Groningen, located in the Hortusbuurt. After the reduction of Groningen in 1594 arose soon plans to expand the city significantly. The first plans date back to 1608, but only in 1625 new fortifications were finished. The new interpretation also had to get a new church. With its construction started in 1660 following the example of the Noorderkerk in Amsterdam. The New Church is the first church in Groningen which was built for Protestant worship (the Martini Church and the Aa-church were originally Catholic churches). The new church was built in Renaissance style with a floor plan in the shape of a Greek cross; in the armpits triangular houses are built. The cross is crowned with a small celebration tower.
