EN: In Japanese mythology, the kamaitachi is always seen with a sickle as a weapon, although in other versions they say that it is his claws that have the shape of the sickle, with which he harmed people for no apparent reason. This being, whose appearance is similar to a weasel, is said to travel on a whirlwind causing deep but painless wounds. That is why wounds that appeared in an unknown way, or when people did not want to talk about them, were attributed to this being. In Gifu Prefecture, the Kamaitachi is said to go in a team of three, with the first rushing to stun the victim, the second cutting with his claws, and the third applying the medicine that prevents the victim from bleeding.

Este ser, cuyo aspecto es parecido a una comadreja, se dice que va sobre un torbellino causando heridas profundas pero indoloras. Es por eso que las heridas que aparecían de forma desconocida, o cuando no se quería hablar de ellas, se las atribuían a este ser. En la prefectura de Gifu, el Kamaitachi se dice que va en un equipo en el que son tres, apresurándose el primero en aturdir a la víctima, cortando el segundo con sus garras, y aplicando el tercero la medicina que evita sangrar a la víctima.
