The origin of Eslimi forms returns to Parthian art, but during the art of Achaemenid, Elamite and Jiroft, there are many unique works with the herbal curved designs. On the other hand, the wooden Eslimi designed windows are inspired by profound spiritual meanings and divine ideas in Persia/ Iran. That Idea describes: God has created the holly light and everything of the universe is from that devine light; therefore it should be respected and be defined by supreme and beautiful designs. There is an another design named “Gereh” which sometimes be confused with Eslimi. This Gereh also applies in Persian doors and windows but it is based on straight lines and geometric forms. This book includes several sections: Chapter one: about knowing this forms and finding the origin of Eslimi which is deeply Persian and it doesn’t related to Arabic or Islamic arts. Chapter two: About using Eslimi on Persian doors and windows. Chapter three: About gathering verity of Eslimi patterns and classify them. Chapter four: About collecting of each pattern which found out during Persian architecture. This creative art, brilliant and incredible deserves the display and presentation in the world, and this is the goal of the book.
