DESCRIPTION

In the beginning, before time was a tangible concept, creation existed. An infinite canvas, a pulsating void waiting to be filled. God, the cosmic artist, extended His hand, a brush of light, and with a sure stroke, shaped the first life. Adam, sculpted in the divine image, lay on the earth, awaiting the breath of life.

In that instant, at the precise moment when God's finger touched Adam's, infusing him with the spark of existence, something else was gestating in the shadows. A cosmic paradox, a shadow cast upon the light. With life, death was born.

Adam, opening his eyes, contemplated the newborn universe. The beauty was overwhelming, but deep within his being, a seed of unease had been planted. The awareness of his own existence intertwined with the awareness of his finitude. In that first breath, Adam not only inhaled the air of life but also the breath of death.

Since then, humanity has carried this duality within itself. Creation and destruction, life and death, two sides of the same coin. Memento mori, the remembrance of death, has been a constant in human history. In every birth, every smile, every tear, lies the awareness of our own finitude.

The title Memento Mori - In the act of creation, mortality was born encapsulates this profound truth. In the very moment we are created, we are condemned to die. Life is a fragile gift, a loan we must return. And yet, it is in the awareness of our mortality that we find true beauty and meaning in existence.
