Or for some reasons Fortuna, the Roman Goddess of luck, is often featured blindfolded to symbolise the randomness of fortune, be it good or bad. The primary side depicts a blindfolded woman with locks of hair flowing about her head. Since the image is truncated at that point, one does not see her with her scales of justice or her sword.
