What's Included/Specs

The download includes a total of 5 STL files in zip format:

1)The Tube; originally sized at ~12in/30cm in diameterIt measures about 5cm in thickness and has a hole at the bottom for the drip guard.The tube includes the FANDITIONER name and can stand up by itself, like a donut vaseThe tube is to be printed standing up

2)The Drip Guard; originally sized at ~13in/33cmIt acts as a shield against the accumulating water droplets from the thawing ice(otherwise you get a large puddle on the ground)The drip guard is to be printed standing up

3)The Hook; a simple S-shaped hook with 2 holesIt is to be printed sideways

4)The Stopper; a 3-sided cube with ~2in/5cm, ~2.5in/6cm and ~3in/7cm sidesIt has 3 rough-sided textures and 3 wavy-sided texturesIt is placed behind the fan's blades to prevent the fan head from tilting downwardsIt is to be printed with its rough(not wavy) side facing the bottom

5)The Cap; a simple screw-on capSimply fill the tube with water and screw the cap onIt is to be printed upside down

Print Instructions:

1)First and foremostly, measure your fan's diameter; it should be slightly bigger than the tube2)Resize the files if need be; the original size of the tube is ~12inches/30cm3)Choose a weather-resistant filament; as the tube and cap will be countlessly refrozen, HDPE or an equivalent filament(longer lasting, more durable to weather) is recommended.4)3D print the files one by one and feel free to print as many tubes as you need(3-4 recommended).

The prints have no supports(according to my 3D designer) when printed in position.

Assembly Instructions:

i)Position then tie the hook to the front of your fan so that the tube, when hung, is centredii)Place the stopper behind the fan with the wavy side facing your fan's protective mesh. This will stop the head from dropping when the ice pack is hungiii)Fill the tube with water(or your favourite cooling agent), screw the cap in and freezeiv)Once frozen, remove the tube and hang it on your fanv)Wedge the drip guard up into the tube(this will catch all the melting ice in the form of water droplets) and turn your fan on
