Tensegrity Tower 3D print model

An elegant tensegrity structure consisting of eight 3D printed parts joined together to form the upper, middle, and lower frames. The frames are joined by slender chains which give the appearance of the upper and middle frames being freely suspended. The four major joints are comprised of 4 each 25mm long 1/16” steel guide rods for alignment (optional) and super glue. The chains are standard 3mm diameter ball pull chains with the ends pinned to the frames with 25mm long 1/16” steel rod or standard chain connectors. The lower curved member of the middle frame has 6 each 5/8” steel balls imbedded in it to provide balance.

Overall size is 15.2 cm W x 18.2 cm D x 40.6 cm H (6.0” W x 7.2” D x 16.0” H).

3D model was created with BlocksCAD software.

The structure pictured was printed using ERYONE Silk Tri Color PLA – Jewel Color & Orange Red & Gold.

The parts were printed on an ELEGOO Neptune 4.
