The sword breaker is a weapon that destroys the opponent's sword as its name suggests. It was developed in Spain and Italy. It is generally known as a straight sword with comb-shaped protrusions on the back of the sword, and the purpose is to break the thin blade by inserting it between the protrusions. It is mainly held in the left hand for defensive purposes. As armor became useless due to the development of firearms, infantrymen began to take off their armor and focus on mobility, and it seems that the sword breaker was used instead of a shield at that time.
