Zweihander is a type of two-handed sword made in Germany in the 13th century. It has a long shoulder where the blade starts and a protrusion that sticks out to the side. It is said that it was good for swinging with a hand when attacking, blocking an opponent's attack, or carrying it on the back or shoulder. Because of its unique shape, it was also called Zweihander in English-speaking countries.
