Pata is a combined attack and defense sword with a gauntlet that protects the back of the hand. It is used by holding the metal rope inside the gauntlet. When worn, the wrist is completely fixed, so you can use your arms and torso to cut the opponent when attacking. It is a practical weapon, but there are cases where the gauntlet part is decorated with animal motifs such as tigers, lions, and deer. It is known that the warriors of the Maratha Empire in India created this weapon. They were brave and warlike, and used this weapon to fight the Mughal Empire in ancient times and the British in modern times. A weapon with a similar structure is the Jamadar, which is believed to be the prototype of the Pata.
We plan to create a variety of world weapons, so please look forward to it!
