In this series the story tells that Hordak (Skeletor's master) kidnapped Adora (She-Ra), Adam's sister (He-Man), newborn in an attack on the palace of Eternia, in revenge, Hordak having failed to conquer Eternia at that time, brought her to Etheria, raised her, and made her captain of the Horde Army guard. In the first episodes of the series, He-Man goes to Etheria through a dimensional portal. After saving him as She-Ra and escaping together, she would lead The Rebellion against Hordak ever since.
