My younger brother asked me to print a working toy crossbow he had found somewhere online, it clearly had taken the creator a serious amount of work to design and my brother had got me excited to try printing it; but putting together the hours it would take to print with all of its parts, I saw it would have been over 24hrs excluding potential failures...
...So I spent about that much time designing my own crossbow that wouldnt use so many parts and its more simple profile helps reduce the print time to 6-7hrs. (on Ender 3)Based off an old mini crossbow that would fit in my palm and used a hair bobble to launch a plastic straw a few metres, this version has a trigger and is much bigger so there's no need to cut the straw to length anymore.I used a small bit of craft wire for the two parts that make up the trigger to rotate on and rubber bands meant for tying lobster claws but you can use what works for you.
