Labubu is a mischievous but kind-hearted, pointy-eared, elf-like monster character created by Hong Kong illustrator Kasing Lung and featured in his The Monsters storybooks and Pop Mart collectible figures. The character debuted in 2015, but gained global popularity after the Chinese company Pop Mart began producing and selling his vinyl and plush toys through the popular blind box format in 2019. The toys have become a global phenomenon and a fashion accessory for adults, known for their distinct look of large eyes, pointed ears, and a signature grin with nine teeth.
