The Chinese Stone Lions are highly representative artistic images and cultural symbols in traditional Chinese culture. They are usually carved from stone materials and are commonly found on both sides of the gates of palaces, temples, gardens, mansions and traditional buildings, combining decorative, guardian and symbolic meanings. Their design integrates the majesty of lions with traditional Chinese aesthetics, with typical features such as curly manes on the head, wide - open eyes and exposed fangs. Some of them are also accompanied by elements like embroidered balls (symbolizing power and auspiciousness) or young lions (symbolizing the continuity of offspring). They are important carriers of such images as auspiciousness, majesty and guardianship in Chinese culture.
