DESCRIPTION

Stoker (often misspelled “Stocker”) is the grizzled rebel who embodies the Martian resistance in Biker Mice from Mars. Founder of the Freedom Fighters and Throttle’s mentor (and Vinnie’s idol/foil), he’s the seasoned figure who blends tactical know-how, street smarts, and a no-deal code of honor. He taught a whole generation how to ride, fight, and resist. Flashbacks like “Once Upon a Time on Mars” reveal hard chapters: capture, experimentation, and brainwashing by Karbunkle; at one point he even wielded a bionic tail. He recovers, but those scars shape a hero who understands the cost of war and shoulders it anyway.

In the 2006 revival he becomes the plot’s driving force. Stoker is credited as the inventor of the Regenerator, a matter-conversion device essential to produce water for Mars. Hunted by the Catatonians and squeezed by Ronaldo Rump, he’s no longer just a legend—he’s a strategic target whose fall could doom his world. The show even toys with his temporary mutation into “Stoker Rat,” adding vulnerability and sacrifice to his arc. The revival also reveals his family link to Carbine (his niece), underscoring that the resistance is about blood ties as much as politics. On the production side, Stoker was voiced by Peter Strauss (and later Jim Ward), signaling how central the character became.

Franchise-wise, the original run (1993–1996) spanned 65 episodes and established the lore Stoker helped forge; the 2006 update delivered 28 episodes centered on the Regenerator and Mars’s fate, with Stoker at the narrative core. Across both, he bridges past and present—memory and action. A couple of fun bits: Vinnie mirrors Stoker’s road swagger (sometimes to his own insecurity), and the brand has enjoyed renewed attention with recent first-look reveals—keeping Stoker front and center in both nostalgia and modern reimaginings. He’s the franchise’s compass: adaptable without compromise, equal parts mechanical genius, leader, and stubborn freedom fighter.
