Moai are monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people on Easter Island in eastern Polynesia between the years 1250 and 1500. Chess is one of the oldest games in the world, dating back to the year 501. The game involves an 8 x 8 square playing board and a set of 32 pieces (16 per player). There are six different types of pieces on each side: a king, queen, knight, bishop, rook, and pawn.
