Jian is a general term for a double-edged straight sword in China.It is also the oldest weapon, and bronze ones have been excavated from Shang Dynasty ruins.It was considered a luxurious weapon, so it was preferred by civil servants and Taoists, and it was the most popular weapon during the Han Dynasty.There are soft knives that are flexible, and there are hard knives that are not flexible at all.The long ones were carried on the back, but the light ones were easy for women to handle.
